Gardens of Principe of Piombino’s Palace

This project is the natural conclusion of the meticulous restoration operations of the Palazzo del Principe in Piombino, located along the suggestive Corso Venezia. The garden, the beating heart of the Palace, extends around a central square-shaped patio, aligned with

the central axis of the building, recalling the majesty of the original historic garden.

The organic design of the garden is outlined by an elegant limestone main path that runs through the entire extent of the garden.

This trail is not just a transit point, but creates rest areas and additional side trails, offering guests moments of intimacy and reflection. To confer privacy and define garden boundaries, simple ground movements are used, with maximum heights of 50 centimeters, and the addition of shrubs that can grow up to 1.5 meters high along the perimeter, ensuring visual and acoustic barriers.

In contrast, within the garden, visual continuity is total. Here, the ground reliefs remain limited to a maximum height of 50 centimeters, and the vegetation is mainly composed of ground cover plants that do not exceed 30/40 centimeters in height. A harmonious symphony of lines, shapes and naturalness, which make this garden an oasis of beauty and serenity in the heart of Corso Venezia.
