In the context of an urban transformation of the Precotto district, a large green area of approximately 20,000 m² was created on a site previously occupied by an industrial area. This project is part of a broader redevelopment initiative that includes modern building and urban renewal interventions.
The green area was designed to become a vital new center for the neighborhood, offering residents a multifunctional and aesthetically pleasing public space. The layout of the plantings and open spaces has been designed to create a welcoming and relaxing environment, where nature and urban design coexist in harmony.
The park’s design includes rows of plane trees and lime trees, which outline the pedestrian paths and cycle paths, creating an orderly but natural structure. Rose beds, aromatic and evergreen plants were laid out following soft geometries, not only to beautify the area but also to create natural stopping points and meeting spaces for the community. Notable trees such as Magnolia soulangeana and Pyrus calleryana “Chanticleer” have been strategically placed in the most representative areas of the park, serving as focal elements and contributing to the visual identity of the space.
The project is completed by street furniture elements and a modern and efficient lighting system, designed to improve the functionality and safety of the park, making it accessible and enjoyable even during the evening hours.
This new urban garden not only aesthetically enriches the neighborhood but also plays a fundamental role in promoting environmental and social sustainability, acting as a place for meeting, relaxation and community activity, thus stimulating greater social cohesion and an improvement in the quality of urban life.
