The Capo di Ponte Theme Park is conceived as a center of cultural vitality and environmental sustainability, intended to enhance the rich history and nature of Val Camonica. Through the redevelopment of previously unused spaces and the introduction of new facilities, the park aims to become a landmark for residents and visitors, offering a wide range of educational, cultural and recreational activities.
The project is structured around three macro-themes: culture, sociality and sustainability, with the aim of creating an environment that fosters interaction between people of all ages. In the center of the park, we find a beach with water games and a play-educational area, designed to stimulate learning through play. A cycle workshop enhances the connection with the Val Camonica cycle path, promoting sustainable mobility.
The main facilities include an interactive museum dedicated to local antiquity and a multimedia area that delves into cultural and natural themes of the valley. A bookshop with teaching area further integrates the park into the historical and natural fabric of the region, while the introduction of native plantings strengthens the local identity.
The park is divided into eight main areas, each with a specific function:
– Entrance and Refreshment Area: It houses the exhibition spaces and the cycle workshop.
– Party Area: Dedicated to educational workshops.
– Beach with Lagoon: Offers water games and leisure activities.
– Play Area and Sports Activities: Designed for children’s entertainment and sport.
– Bosco: A space for direct contact with nature.
– Picnic and Barbecue Area with Sport Fishing: To be redeveloped to offer spaces for leisure and relaxation.
– Camper area: To be expanded to accommodate traveling visitors.
– Entrance Parking: To be redeveloped to improve accessibility to the park.
The project also includes the redevelopment of the entrance area, an overall reorganization of the spaces according to the contents and activities envisaged, improving the receptivity and functionality of the park. The proposals for dissemination activities on renewable energy and the functional reorganization of the party area are just some of the initiatives that combine interactivity and culture, making the Capo di Ponte Theme Park a model of integration between the natural environment and human intervention.
