Green Cities Europe Award Italy: A Prize for Excellency

Organized by PAYSAGE – Topscape, ANVE (National Association of Exporter Nurserymen) and AVI (Italian Nurserymen’s Association), in collaboration with GREEN CITIES EUROPE and ENA (European Nurserymen’s Association), the “GREEN CITIES EUROPE AWARD ITALY” conference was the opportunity to present the important European award, celebrate European excellence in the field of landscape design and delve deeper, with a dedicated focus, the Italian selection of the prestigious Green Cities Europe Award 2024.

The Green Cities Europe Award is an international award that covers best landscape design practices in Europe.

This year the Vicenza Peace Park, designed by the PAN Associati studio, won the Italian sorting and won the silver medal in the European final in Essen. A result that confirmed Italy among the protagonists of the sustainable transformation of urban spaces.

The conference was moderated by Novella B. Cappelletti, director of the international magazine PAYSAGE TOPSCAPE and member of the European jury of the Green Cities Europe Award. Among the speakers were authoritative representatives of the sector and organizers of the event, including Luigi Pagliani (President of ANVE), Josep M. Pagès (General Secretary of ENA) and Alessandro Michelucci (President of AVI).

Parco della pace project was presented by the architect. Gaetano Selleri, designer and technical director of PAN Associati.

The event also saw the official awards ceremony of the Green Cities Europe Award – Italy, celebrating the winning project as a virtuous example of innovation and sustainability applied to the urban landscape.

The Myplant & Garden conference represented an important opportunity for updating and discussion, underlining how the future of the landscape must necessarily pass through an integrated approach between nature, technology and sustainability. PAN Associati studio will continue to draw inspiration from these issues to propose innovative and conscious solutions, contributing to a greener and more sustainable future.
